Personally, I think if Atticus did tell Scout about rape I don't think she would fully understand. Scout is an extremely smart girl but Atticus's position might be too hard for Scout to realize how big of a deal defending Tom Robinson is. I think Jem is able to understand the whole situation now, but with Scout I think that if she does come to understand it will be over time.

The Lost Boy
The Lost Boy
This book by David Pelzer is probably one of the best books I have ever read. The moment I started reading it I didn't want to stop. It is the sequel to the famous book A Child Called It, and I have read these books several times. Reading this book and knowing that it is a true story makes all the more interesting because you have the thought in your head that a little boy actually lived his life the way David describes it. I am very surprised I didn't start crying because I learned a numerous amount of things reading the stories. The Lost Boy is a book I highly recommend to others to read, it will keep you entertained and almost in tears.

My Hero
One of my greatest heroes would have to be my brother Deric. Him and I are the two siblings stuck in the middle. Who knew from all the arguments and hatred when we were little would turn out to us being best friends. Even though we still don't get along most of the time, we still love each other and are still best friends. With out him I have no idea where I would be. He has taught me so much and I look up to him in so many different ways. When he leaves for college I have no idea how I am going to react. It will just be like my best friend is moving away. If anything was to ever happen to him I can't even imagine what I would go through. I love him to death and no one could ever be a better brother!
